BASS Coast College’s class of 2023 celebrated the halfway point of their final school year with their formal last Thursday night.
The event was held at Silverwater Resort, organised by Year 12 coordinator Vaughan Gleeson with support of the students.
“We have just under 150 Year 12 students this year, the majority of which are here tonight (Thursday),” senior campus principal Ross Bramley said.
“We appreciate the venue for supplying us with a space that is inclusive of our cohort. Full credit goes to Vaughan Gleeson and the students who worked behind the scenes to decorate and prepare for the event. They’ve done a fantastic job.”
The formal marks the end of the students’ unit three studies.
Unit four will begin following the two-week school holiday break.
“The formal is an opportunity to galvanise the group as they head into their unit four studies,” Mr Bramley said.
“It’s been a great year, led by our excellent teaching staff. It’s wonderful we are able to bring the cohort together for a social event like this. It’s about connecting as a group and encouraging them that there is so many more good things to come this year and many good things to come in life.”
