Car fire in South Dudley treated as suspicious

BASS Coast Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a car fire in Wonthaggi on Tuesday, September 26.


Emergency services were called to the car fire in the grounds of a school in South Dudley Road just before 4am.


It is understood some sheds were forced open and the Ute was removed and driven on to the oval.


Police located a Ute belonging to the school engulfed in fire.


No one was injured and the investigation remains ongoing.


Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the fire which is being treated as suspicious at this stage.
