NINETY- three new Year Seven students were welcomed to their first day of high school at Mary MacKillops Catholic College by Principal Mr. John Freeman this morning.
The Year 12 students have also commenced their final year of school and have started off by going on a retreat. The Year 8, 9, 10 and 11 students are lucky enough to have another day of holidays before starting their school year tomorrow.
All students will be in attendance this coming Monday for an Achievers Assembly that will be held to celebrate the success of the Class of 2023.
The upcoming term will see students participating and competing in both the swimming and athletics carnivals, and as well as the Year 12 Retreat, the Year Sevens and Eights will be heading off on their respective camps.
Along with many other schools, Mary MacKillop has several vacant teaching positions to be filled and prospective employees can check the advertised positions in the paper for further details over the next two weeks.
The school is currently looking for both Math's and Science Teachers, a maternity replacement teaching English and Psychology, commencing in term two and a guitar teacher for their musical program.
