LOCH Village Garden Festival is presented by Loch Village Garden Club in conjunction with Poowong Garden Club’s Flower and Photographic Show. This year’s festival will feature nine beautiful gardens in Loch Village and large country gardens at Loch, Jeetho, Bena, Nyora, Poowong and Poowong East. These include Ellesmere, Lochchester, The White House, Midsomer Loch, Bimbadeen, Burraview, Wodalla, The Old Dairy, All Saints Poowong Community Garden and the Pioneer Chapel in Poowong.
People are also invited to take a walk around the village of Loch to discover our parks, view garden art and sculpture, and purchase fresh local produce from village stores. Loch Village eateries offer visitors food and wine from the Southern Gippsland region. If you’re interested in the history of our charming village, you can step back in time and take our self-directed history walks in Loch and
Poowong, maps available at Loch Village Post Office.
Gardens are open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, November 1.
Garden Maps and garden lists will be on sale on the day at the Loch Village Post Office, 20 Victoria Road, and Poowong Public Hall, adults $10, children free.
Previous festivals have attracted many visitors, and we hope to see more of the same exploring our beautiful gardens. We like to bring folks together for a relaxing and informative outing leading up to the festive season.
An easy drive one hour from Melbourne, these historic villages with special events and places to explore, antiques to buy, wine and dine, there are many reasons to make a weekend or day trip to the green rolling hills of South Gippsland. Come and find out for yourself.
