Cowes producer SIRPREME selected for LA masterclass
The Cowes DJ will hold a send-off fundraiser at Sanny Side in San Remo on Saturday October 3 before heading to North Hollywood.
A COWES music producer and DJ is preparing to travel to Los Angeles after being selected from almost 1,000 applicants to attend an invitation-only producer program in North Hollywood.
Jake, who performs as SIRPREME, will attend Camp Kato: Producer Edition on October 24 and 25, taking part in masterclasses, music creation and collaboration with other producers and artists.
He will be in Los Angeles from October 21 to November 3, spending time outside the camp in studios, meeting artists and producers, pursuing DJ opportunities and building connections within the United States music industry.
SIRPREME said the trip felt like a major step after years of building his music around work, family and life in regional Victoria, and being selected from such a large applicant pool had reinforced that the work was starting to open doors internationally.

Before he leaves, SIRPREME is holding a send-off fundraiser at Sanny Side in San Remo, where he DJs every Friday, with the venue donating the space for the event.
The fundraiser will run from 3pm until late on Saturday October 3, with DJ sets throughout the day, giveaways, auctions and support from local businesses, with proceeds helping offset the cost of the trip.
A GoFundMe has also been set up for anyone who cannot make the send-off but would still like to support the trip.
The timing lines up with the release of his new single “One&Done” on September 30, featuring Atlanta artist Duka, the first single from his upcoming project.
SIRPREME said he was grateful for the support he had already received locally and was excited to represent Cowes and the wider Bass Coast while overseas.
