I HAVE read with interest your article on this week’s edition.

Just a note for all dog owners in the Bass Coast area.

The reserve at Glen Forbes is a fully fenced off leash area and has been for 15 or so years, notwithstanding the numerous signs and the availability of green dog poo bags, we, members of the committee of management are forever collecting droppings that the owners refuse to collect themselves, some collect it and leave the full green bags somewhere in or around the reserve and do not take them home.

Not a good outcome for dog owners. 

There is a fine for not collecting the droppings but unless a council officer is present nothing happens.

Dog owners who visit our reserve, lift your game.
