Woke agenda had its day, he says

1 min read

YOUR editorial commentary on some community reaction to the Ngangga Festival in the letters section of your July 8 edition seems to assume that the inevitable and predetermined arrow of history is somehow linear in its quasi-Marxist race notion of ‘progress’… and that the rest of us just have to suck it up and recognise that our ideological betters know best.

That sounds delusional from where over 60 per cent of the electorate were coming from when they threw out ‘The Voice’ referendum only 22 months ago.

Clearly, the Woke Ascendancy at all levels of governance that sponsored ‘The Voice’ seems not just to be tin-eared on this, but has learned nothing, and blithely continues to roll out its agenda on a magic carpet of not ‘justice’ so much as mindless political vanity and conceit.

Their Woke race/civilisational narrative doesn’t cut much ice with a majority of your readers. It isn’t just that they don’t agree. They are losing patience with political and cultural leaders who just don’t listen. And the proposed state government ‘treaty’ is just what it will take to raise a majority constituency to vote for a drover’s dog rather than the ALP at the next state election.

If you haven’t noticed, throughout the Western world, there is a very substantial movement against both the sexual and race narratives that have been run out of university humanities departments over the last 50 years, whose ex-students now dominate the means of social reproduction and administration.

There is a very good chance that a lot of that ascendancy won’t be running anything in the next 10 years. And then we will really get to see for whom the bell tolls and who ends up in the rubbish tip of history.
