The stars are coming out at the Archies Creek Hotel

THE next holiday weekend in Bass Coast might really rock your world with Tim Rogers and his band You Am I booked for a Melbourne Cup Eve show at the Archies Creek Hotel.

They’re part of a massive line-up of talent coming our way over the next few months as the popular local venue works up a head of steam leading into the festive season.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Aussie rock icons You Am I are heading back our way for another kick arse show on Monday, October 31,” said publican and promoter Peter Foley.

“As the show falls on Cup Eve, and given that there's a public holiday the next day, we expect it to be a huge night of rock'n'roll.”

And there’s a lot more besides, coming your way from the popular local music venue, between now and Christmas with such stars as Eric Bogle, Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks and Mark Seymour and his band on the cards over the next month or two.

Featuring guitarist and vocalist Tim Rogers, along with band mates Russell Hopkinson on drums, Andy Kent on Bass, and Davey Lane on guitar, You Am I have released 11 studio albums to date. Their last studio album was the 2020 critically acclaimed ‘The Lives of Others’ release.

Three of their releases have debuted at number one on the ARIA charts in consecutive order: 1995’s “Hi Fi Way”, 1996’s “Hourly, Daily” and 1998’s “#4 Record”, with the albums also receiving multiple Platinum and Gold status for commercial sales.

The band have won a total of 10 ARIA Awards including Album of the Year, Best Group, and Best Independent Release.
