DESTINATION Phillip Island won Silver in the Tourism Marketing and Campaigns category at the Victorian Tourism Awards Gala Ceremony held at the Crown Palladium.

The awards, delivered by the Victorian Tourism Industry Council, recognise tourism excellence and outstanding innovation within the sector.

The Phillip Island 101 square kilometres - One Amazing Place campaign created by Destination Phillip Island was a new integrated branded marketing campaign to support visitor economy recovery for their tourism dependent region. Inspired by the unique geographic area of the Phillip Island and San Remo region, Phillip Island 101 square kilometres promotes the beauty, adventure and fun of a Phillip Island holiday.

Assets created included the Phillip Island 101 guide and a range of executions across traditional and digital platforms including Television Ads, BVOD, bus wraps, a dedicated magazine/newspaper supplement, digital and social media campaigns, cinema, radio, podcasts and more.

Destination Phillip Island General Manager Kim Storey said “This is wonderful recognition for the largest campaign in the history of the organisation and the contribution and hard work of the DPI team, especially Arnika Martin – Marketing Co-Ordinator and our working group members.

“This project was an incredible opportunity to work with a number of leading agencies including Hardhat, Instant Crush, The Gaibo Agency and Shell Media to develop and deliver immediate recovery activity and an ongoing campaign for this region” Arnika Martin.
