CRT funding awarded to three South Gippsland schools

THE CRT Primary Schools Program recently awarded three South Gippsland Primary Schools with vital funding to lend a helping hand to regional Primary Schools Parent and Friends Associations.

This year, Meeniyan Primary School, Fish Creek & District Primary School and St Laurence O’Toole Primary School were each presented with a cheque for $2,000.

Nicole Whiteside of Browns Stockfeed in Leongatha, an independent store to CRT, presented each school with their cheque and said she was proud that of nine schools chosen in Victoria, three were successful in South Gippsland.

“Once again, congratulations to the schools for putting forward a great application to CRT,” said Nicole.

Meeniyan Primary School expressed their appreciation of the generous gift of $2000. Stating that this money will be put toward the installation of a retaining wall built around a new climbing playground, as schools only receive minimal funding to put toward facility upgrades, and they often rely on donations to keep the school engaging for students.

Fish Creek & District Primary School will be allocating their funding to outdoor seating and tables. The funding is intended for projects that are deemed a requirement for the school.
