Donate towards a cancer free future

1 min read

IN honour of those impacted by Cancer, Deery Consulting Structural and Civil Engineers are holding their fourth Biggest Morning Tea in hope to raise $5,000 for the Cancer Council.

Office manager Robyn Hodson said this is an event that is held each year to help the Cancer Council raise vital funds towards research, support services and prevention programs.

“Last year we managed to raise $8,855 and host 80 people, and we’re hoping to welcome the same number of guests here in Inverloch on Thursday, May 23 from 10am until 12pm,” said Robyn.

“This year we are hosting special guest and Olympic Gold Medalist, Drew Ginn OAM who has kindly agreed to join us for a delicious morning tea and share his story after losing both his parents to Cancer.”

The annual event for Deery Consulting is an opportunity for the community to come together with likeminded people, share their experiences or donate to make a difference.

Paul the Pieman is catering the event, Inverloch supermarket will be donating coffee and tea and Abicor Southern have generously donated their eco-friendly plates and cutlery.

“We are very grateful for the local businesses who have also donated raffle prizes and auction items. We already have over $1,000 worth of prizes to be won, and I’ll be running a lucky number draw and selling raffle tickets at the door, and prior to the event,” said Robyn.

“We can't wait to get together and share some tasty treats, all while helping create a cancer free future.”

Entry is a $20 donation per person and Deery Consulting is located at 1/54 Dixon Street, Inverloch. Can't make it? You can still help make a difference by donating to our fundraising page. Every dollar helps!
