ENJOY the quaintest of English dining customs and sit down for high tea, indulging in luxurious cakes, sandwiches and scones whilst sipping tea from fine bone china and enjoying conversation with friends and family at the Bena Hall.
Being held on Sunday May 4, the event marks the very first high tea to be held by the Bena Hall Committee.
The event will be pink themed and will help raise funds in support of cancer research and education for the McGrath Foundation, with some funds also going towards the maintenance of the hall itself.
“This is the first ever High Tea we’ve had at the Bena Hall and we thought it was appropriate to hold it before Mother’s Day. It is the perfect gift idea for all the Mums out there, to come and enjoy high tea,” said Genine Gilbert, Bena Hall Committee member.
Expect white linen tablecloths, napkins, raffles and prizes. There will be games, such as guessing how many sugar cubes are in the jar, as well as a vintage photo booth with antique furniture and playful props for patrons to pose and take home happy memories of the day.
“It’s something for the community to enjoy and we look forward to welcoming everyone on the day,” said Genine.
High Tea at the Bena Hall will be held on Sunday May 4 at 11am. Dress code is smart attire and tickets are $25 each.
