The Leongatha SES Unit responded to a car accident on the Bass Highway just outside Leongatha a bit after 11am this morning.
Despite initial reports that someone may be trapped, the crew found that all occupants had safely exited the vehicle.
“Working alongside the Leongatha Fire Brigade, we assisted Ambulance Victoria in helping the individuals into the ambulance for assessment,” the Unit said in a Facebook post.
Victoria Police was thanked for expertly managing traffic on the busy Bass Highway and keeping the scene safe for all emergency responders.
Motorists are reminded that crashes can happen anytime, day or night, rain or shine.
“Please remember to slow down to 40km/h when passing emergency service vehicles; your caution keeps us safe while we help others,” the post stated.
For those keen to make a difference in their community, the Leongatha SES Unit is always looking for new volunteers.
