Local business called to jump onboard with Marinus Link

LOCAL businesses have been invited to meet the lead contractors in the giant Marinus Link energy infrastructure project ahead of construction starting next year. Up to a thousand jobs are expected to be created by Marinus Link directly and indirectly.

An industry briefing will be held at the Leongatha Memorial Hall from 10 am to12.30 pm on Thursday December 4 to give suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers a detailed look at supply chain opportunities and construction timelines.

“Our lead contractors will need strong local business capability to deliver on this massive construction campaign,” said Marinus Link Pty Ltd CEO Stephanie McGregor.

“These events are designed to connect local businesses directly with our delivery team and help contractors learn what skills and services will be needed as construction ramps up next year.”

Marinus Link staff, industry agencies, and representatives from lead contractors will be in attendance, including TasVic Greenlink a joint venture of DT Infrastructure and Samsung C&T, Hitachi Energy, Prysmian Powerlink and Spiecapag.

“Now is the time for potential suppliers to start engaging,” Ms McGregor said.

“We’re on the journey to getting this project built.”
