DUST off the evening gowns and suits, because the Bass Coast Community Foundation Gala Dinner is back and promises to be a spectacular evening on Saturday, July 26 from 7pm to 10pm.
An elegant evening of fine dining, inspiring conversation, and community giving will take place at Silverwater Resort at a fundraiser supporting the Bass Coast Community Foundation and all that they do in the Bass Coast community.
This special event will bring together local leaders, philanthropists and community members to celebrate the Foundation’s shared mission of strengthening and supporting the Bass Coast community.
Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner and an inspiring keynote speech from Beau Vernon, a champion whose journey has changed his life, the lives of his community and audiences who listen to his unbelievable story of opportunity and optimism.
At 23 years of age, in 2012, Beau’s life changed forever. A freak accident during an AFL match left Beau a quadriplegic. Since then, Beau has won a bronze medal in the Paralympics in Paris representing Australian Wheelchair Rugby, led Leongatha Parrots to two premierships, as well as Phillip Island Bulldogs.
Throughout the evening, the Foundation’s accomplishments will be showcased highlighting success stories, and present opportunities for guests to make a lasting difference through donations and sponsorships.
The funds raised at this event will be put towards extending the Foundation’s support for a financial management basics program for teens called Centsible Teen Talk. Developed and delivered by local experts Rebecca Casey and Jackie Newman, the Centsible program teaches participants about budgeting and financial management through topics such as budgeting, how to buy a house, affluenza and the Diderot effect, money management, credit scores, banking, credit cards, resumes, cybercrime, superannuation and insurance.
With time to network mixed amongst live entertainment and a gourmet two-course dinner with canapes and a complementary drink on arrival don’t miss the number one event for your diary this July.
