POLICE and emergency services were called to clean-up and direct traffic after another incident at the notorious intersection of Soldiers Road and Bass Highway in Bass.
With traffic already slowed to 70km/h on the approach to the intersection from both directions northbound traffic was further delayed while the road was made safe.
Meanwhile a severe weather warning has been issued for South and Central Gippsland for damaging winds developing late on Monday evening (July 21).
A strong northerly flow ahead of an approaching cold front is expected to produce damaging winds throughout the Great Dividing Range quickly moving into eastern parts of the state by early Tuesday afternoon.
A marine weather warning is current for Central Gippsland and East Gippsland coastal areas with strong winds forecast ahead of the cold front approaching from the west.
