You’re in for a CWA treat this weekend at the Poowong Hall

IT’S on today Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7 at the Poowong Public Hall, the Gippsland Hills Group of the CWA’s 69th annual Exhibition of Handicrafts, Art and Home Industries.

And when you’re done checking out the display and watching the demonstrations, you can hit the well-stocked stall in the foyer for cakes, preserves and a wide selection of CWA merchandise and craft items.

It’s your annual opportunity to see the best work from the women of the Gippsland Hills Group CWA, with an extraordinary display of handcrafts, home industries, art and horticulture assured.

"Over 500 entries and they are still pouring in! From Bena and Poowong to Yarram, from Mirboo to Inverloch and all the branches in between, our ladies have been working hard to create a fabulous exhibition of Handcrafts, Home Industries, Art, Photography and Horticulture," said a CWA spokesperson this week.

A feature of the two days is demonstrations of art and craft.

Light lunches, morning and afternoon tea available.

When: Saturday 6th – Sunday 7th April. 10am to 4pm

Where: Poowong Public Hall, 4 Nyora Rd, Poowong VIC 3998

Entry cost: $5 adults. Children and students free. Ticket allows entry all weekend.
