One final twist as Hoekstra comes in to bat with Victoria needing 19
Koonwarra-Leongatha RSL left-arm bowler faces up to Tasmania's Riley Meredith as Victoria tries to win their first Sheffield Shield match of the season.

THERE'S one final twist for Victoria as Koonwarra-Leongatha RSL left-arm bowler, right-hand bat comes to the crease with just 19 runs needed for victory over Tasmania at Bellerive.

Liam Blackford has just been dismissed for 80 and Hoekstra joins Fergus O'Neill on 44 and Gabe Bell has just taken the new cherry as the pressure piles up high on the Vics in sight of victory.

O'Neill survives a streaky shot through the slips for a four and its down to 13, then 12 needed for victory.

Hoekstra gets off the mark and it's "game on" with only one batsman back in the sheds.

O'Neill goes, out caught in the deep, still with nine runs to get and one of Australia's best pace bowlers, Riley Meredith running in at pace.

David Moody takes a run on Meredith's last delivery and its down to six needed to win.

There's a mix-up, yes, no... but Hoekstra is sent back and he's safely into his crease. Next Harry has to dive into his crease at the other end and there's five runs to get to win, the return by the Tassie fieldsman missing the stumps by a coat of varnish.

The Tasmanians are shouting for everything as the pressure mounts yet again... but it's not to be and Harry is the last man to go, slashing at a ball that might have delivered the victory but is edged and caught behind.

But it's not to be, the last man out for Victoria is Harry Hoekstra four runs shy of victory.
After a game that had it all, it's Tasmania which takes the spoils.
