NEWHAVEN Hall is open to the public over cup weekend with a patchwork display and exhibition of toys and accessories handcrafted by the Wonthaggi Woodcrafters.

Volunteers Janelle Rumble and Denise Garrett are selling raffle tickets over the cup long weekend with all proceeds going to the local emergency services.
“We will donate all proceeds across the CFA, SES and SLSC,” said Janelle.
“It’s a great cause and a great display of talent by all our members.”

President of the Phillip Island Patchworkers Gayle Rowden presented member, Helen Murray with presidents’ choice for the exhibition for her works on ‘Oh Say Can You Sew’ – “a queen size quilt of fine art, with exquisite detail in the squares,” said Gayle.

Meanwhile volunteers Marj Wagland and Joan Ray are selling fabrics, books, and handmade pieces at the trading table, and Grant Crocker and Neil Bateman of Wonthaggi Woodcrafters will be showcasing the work of their members – including handcrafted toys, bowls, and wooden pen stylus - just to name a few.

The two volunteer groups are open at the Newhaven Hall over the cup long weekend, showcasing the works of the local community and both invite others to join their groups, to learn a new skill and socialise with likeminded locals.

Donation upon entry and raffle tickets sold at the door.
