Future baker receives VCE honour

AMBER Zuidema who is now pursuing her dream of becoming a baker recently received a Premier’s VCE Award acknowledging her outstanding academic results last year.

The annual awards recognise the top performing students in the state, with Amber’s bestowed for excellence in Health and Human Development.

Foster Secondary College acting assistant principal, Daryl Callcott, is delighted to see the school’s 2021 Dux further honoured for her achievements and dedication.

“Amber has been a very ambitious and self-motivated student, and the entire Foster Secondary College community is proud of her and would like to congratulate her on being the recipient of such a prestigious award,” Daryl said.

Amber was one of just 298 students across Victoria to be honoured in this year’s Premier’s VCE Awards.

She is now studying a Certificate III in Baking, with Daryl looking forward to sampling some of the tasty treats she creates.
