Jayson joins the Leongatha team

JAYSON Filomeno has brought his passion for real estate to Leongatha, taking on the role of property manager at Alex Scott and Staff, having previously worked at the Venus Bay branch.
“I grew up in Leongatha, so I know it quite well,” Jason said.

He has a strong commitment to the real estate business.

“Real estate was always an industry I wanted to get into,” Jayson said.

His 22 months’ experience at the Venus Bay office and knowledge of the Leongatha area enabled him to hit the ground running.
Jayson outlined what being a property manager entails.

“I do everything from leasing properties to property appraisals, maintenance items, conducting inspections, basically liaising between our tenants and property owners to make sure the properties run smoothly and all parties are happy,” he said.

While the basics of property management remain the same, Jayson will have a much higher percentage of permanent rentals to look after in Leongatha, with Venus Bay geared to the holiday rental market.

He is committed to a long career in real estate, aiming to become a sales agent in the next five years.

“My long-term goal is to open my own agency and be a director,” Jayson said.

He moved to the Leongatha office to be nearer home, replacing experienced property manager Kim Rosser who left for the same reason.

While branch manager Andrew Newton said Kim will be missed, he is delighted to have Jayson on the team.

“He knows his stuff, which has made the transition easy,” Andrew said.

Jayson explained that the friendly team at Alex Scott and Staff has helped him to settle in quickly.
