Ray White Inverloch welcomes star mother-daughter team

3 min read

FAMILY values lie at the heart of Ray White Inverloch with principal Fiona McMahon-Hughes welcoming a female-led family team.

Fiona is excited to welcome sales agent Megan Harris and her daughter Katie Harris, adding to her team which includes her own daughter Olivia McMahon-Hughes.

“They are a beautiful local family and they also have strong family values as well. We’re really pleased to welcome them into the team,” Fiona said.

“They care about people and are here for the whole picture. It’s about building relationships and longevity - both myself and Megan hope that in 15 years time we will see our daughters step up as the next generation of leaders.

“We genuinely care about our clients and we want to offer them the best service possible so they want to come back to us. It’s not just about one sale, but the whole relationship.”

Ray White is a fourth generation business and family is at the cornerstone of the leading group’s foundation.

The group is led by Ray White’s grandson, chairman Brian White and great-grandson and managing director Dan White.

Fiona said being able to work with your family is an amazing opportunity.

“Obviously when you work with family you know you can trust them. It adds a lot to the business, people have always got your back and are pushing forward in the same direction,” she said.

Katie Harris has just began her real estate career and is currently doing a traineeship with her mother while finishing year 12.

She is hoping to learn everything she can about real estate with the ultimate goal to become a sales agent.

Megan has more than two years of experience in the Inverloch area and said she joined the real estate industry because she’s passionate about helping people.

“I believe it’s essential in real estate to develop relationships and create trust with our clients when they are making the hardest and most important decision they will probably ever have to make,” Megan said.

“I want to be able to assist my clients through this process, whether they are from an older generation looking to downsize, or a first home buyer who just needs someone they can trust.” Megan is incredibly proud of her daughter Katie, who is also passionate about real estate.

“Family is the most important thing we have and joining Ray White Inverloch with my daughter Katie is such a great opportunity to work in a high performing, family-orientated business with great values,” Megan said.

“Katie is working hard, finishing year 12 while also doing her traineeship with me and working towards earning her real estate licence so she can hit the ground running when she graduates.” Fiona said the Inverloch area has continued to perform well post-COVID with many people from Melbourne still seeking out a coastal treechange in the region.

“We’re still getting a lot of people coming here from the city. People looking for an early retirement but also lots of new professional families and couples who are able to work from home,” she said.

“There’s been a huge infrastructure upgrade and it’s attracted a broad range of buyers.”
