THE TEAM behind Phillip Island’s Ocean Sounds festival has unveiled a new addition to the coastal summer music calendar with Electric Summer 1 coming to the Westernport Hotel in January.

According to the promoters the debut event has been built around deep underground grooves and non-stop euphoric energy. Organisers have assembled a stellar lineup of cutting-edge electronic talent, featuring Brent Honey, Kumi, Lexï, Caleb Jay, and Sugamomi.

Leading the charge is headliner Brent Honey, dubbed Australia's most trusted energy provider. With more than 250 sets under his belt including European, UK, and Australian tours plus major festival slots at Beyond The Valley and Wildlands the celebrated DJ is known for his fast-paced mixing and sweat-inducing dance moves.

Joining him for Electric Summer 1 will be 25-year-old Melbourne producer Kumi. Fresh off a European tour and named a triple j Unearthed Artist of 2024, Kumi has amassed over 1.5 million streams.

Known for explosive main-stage sets that blend Trance, UKG, Drum and Bass, and Hard House with raw vocals, Kumi rounds out a powerhouse electronic roster alongside regional favourites Lexï, Caleb Jay, and Sugamomi.

Melbourne sister duo Bonnie and Matilda are already turning heads as Sugamomi.

Combining Matilda’s experience as solo artist Matilda Pearl (triple j support, Beyond The Valley) with Bonnie’s creative background as a live music photographer they have already lined up collaborations with heavyweights like Odd Mob, Sippy, and Ninajirachi.

Crafting hypnotic sonic landscapes designed to foster community and elevated consciousness Lexï promises to bring a deep, genre-bending touch to the night with an immersive journey built to resonate across the dance floor.

Caleb Jay will combine analogue warmth with digital precision and is set to deliver an immersive sound rooted in underground house grooves, deep techno drive, and emotive melodic edges. His refined production style has earned him international recognition on tastemaker platforms like Anjunadeep Radio and Beatport Streams.

Expect a deep, atmospheric experience full of sonic exploration. The Electric Summer 1 festival will come to the Westernport Hotel in San Remo on Friday, January 8, 2027.
