Wet weather was not a problem for Grand Ridge Rail Trail Parkrun

1 min read

THE RAIN was heavy early in the morning on Saturday, but as predicted, it finished by the time ‘ready, set, parkrun’ was announced, 32 participants enjoying the wet Grand Ridge Rail Trail course, with one first timer and a handful of guests from Hastings, and Emerald.

Suzanne Parkinson completed her 222nd Parkrun, a great reminder that this Saturday is November 22 and many parkrun fans will be seen wearing a tutu!

Stacey and Paul Krausz completed their 25th milestone without the volunteer team realising, but they can wear the purple cape next time.

The efforts of volunteers, Robert Gray, Julia Groves, Carmel and Steve Quirk, Greg and Val Smith, and Linda Zhang are appreciated, with special mention to Duncan Parkinson, a visiting volunteer and Dale Ingleton, who returned to the area to visit where he grew up.
