VICTORIANS impacted by the extended lockdown can claim COVID-19 Disaster Payments from this Friday, July 23.

MyGov is the fastest and easiest way to claim.

Minister for Emergency Management and National Recovery and Resilience, Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie, said the federal government was standing with Victorians as the situation continued to unfold.

“The payment is now recurring and automatically paid for any future weeks of a lockdown,” Ms McKenzie said.

Information will be available ahead of Friday on the Services Australia website.

“If you can claim online on Friday, please do, so the phone lines can support those who need extra assistance,” said Minister for Government Services, Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC.

More information about financial support available to Victorians and how to claim will be available on the Services Australia website soon at servicesaustralia.gov.au/covid19disasterpayment.
