MINISTER for Ambulance Services Gabrielle Williams has announced that a parcel of land at the rear of Grant Street has been chosen as the preferred site for the new, multi-million-dollar Yarram Ambulance Station.

The new Yarram Ambulance Station will feature a three-bay garage for ambulances, two rest and recline areas for hard-working paramedics to recuperate, training facilities, a fully equipped kitchen and improved security and car parking to make sure paramedics are safe.

The location has been selected to ensure the best coverage of ambulance services for the community- providing ease of access to local walkways and nature reserves.

It’s also in close proximity to local businesses, sporting and community facilities, and schools. Construction is on track to start later this year.

In more welcome news for the local community, construction is progressing on the new multi-million-dollar Foster Ambulance Station.

The Government has invested almost $250 million since 2015 to upgrade and rebuild ambulance stations.
