THE Kilcunda Community Association held their 20th Biggest Morning Tea at the Kilcunda community centre last Friday in support of the Cancer Council – a cause that touches so many.
Andrea and the committee thank all the sponsors for their ongoing support of their annual event and the residents for their contribution to the afternoon tea.
The morning tea ran from 10am until 12pm with over 30 raffle prizes and a silent auction, all giveaways were generously donated by local businesses.
President of the committee Andrea said “in 19 years, not including what we’ve obtained this year, we’ve raised over $33,000 from our little morning tea.”
“It is a group effort in organising the annual event with the committing volunteering their time to this important cause. There is so many that we all know who have struggled with the fight against cancer and too many who have lost their lives.”
The afternoon was a celebration of the community effort and it will continue on next year.
The association was deeply appreciative of their sponsors.
