At the May meeting of the Inverloch VIEW Club a special award was presented to long-time member, Jill Widmer.
Jill joined Inverloch VIEW Club over 20 years ago and shortly after joining became a member of the committee. Up until her retirement from the committee this year, she has served continuously in almost every position, always carrying out her roles with dedication, humour and grace.
Last week she was presented with her twenty-year VIEW badge and also a letter from VIEW headquarters, advising her that she is to receive a Making a Difference Award. This award honours her dedication and enthusiasm for many things, including organising entertainment for the members’ enjoyment at special birthday and Christmas meetings and taking on any committee role where she was needed.
She epitomises the VIEW guiding principles of “supporting and caring”, “inclusive and welcoming” and “collaborative and future-looking”.
Jill’s warm smile, kind heart, her willingness to help out and her caring nature have endeared her to all the members and we, as a group, are proud to have her as a member of our club.
