Fish Creek
At Fish Creek, the Remembrance Day service is subject to access to the site, which is currently affected by the town's landscaping works.
Foster
A Remembrance Day service will be conducted by Foster RSL President Bruce Lester at the Cenotaph in Foster on Tuesday, November 11, at 11am. The service will be preceded by a march, beginning at the Foster Historical Society Museum.
Marchers are asked to assemble at 10.30am.
Foster RSL invites all interested members of the community to attend the service. The laying of wreaths will follow the service, with members of the public welcomed and invited to lay floral tributes.
Grantville
A service will be held at 10.15am at the Memorial Gardens, Bass Highway. The service will be followed by light refreshments.
Inverloch
Laying of the crosses will commence at 10am until 10.30am at Inverloch Cemetery.
A service will then take place at the Cenotaph in A’Beckett Street at 10.45am.
Korumburra
There’ll be a short service, starting at 10.45am at the cenotaph in Coleman Park.
Lang Lang
A service will take place at Lang Lang Cenotaph at 11am.
Leongatha
Things get underway at the town’s cenotaph outside the Memorial Hall at 10.40am, with a local band playing and a short service.
Light refreshments are available at Leongatha RSL after the service.
Loch
An 11am service will take place at Loch Memorial Reserve.
Meeniyan
Attendees are asked to assemble at 10.45am for a short community-run service at the war memorial that will include an address from Heather Scott, former president of Meeniyan and District RSL.
Mirboo North
People are encouraged to gather at 10.30am for a short service, followed by light refreshments at the RSL.
Nyora
Students of Nyora Primary School will be studying Remembrance Day and its meaning in the lead up to the November 11th Service, where students will walk to the Nyora Cenotaph at 10.30am. Students of Grade six will read poems and observe a minute's silence, welcoming all families and the Nyora community to join.
San Remo
A service will start at 10.30am at the Cenotaph, with morning tea to follow at the San Remo Hotel.
Toora
Toora RSL advises that their service will commence at 10.50am at the Cenotaph. All are welcome.
Wonthaggi
A service will begin at 10.30am at the Wonthaggi Cenotaph. See story for further information.
Yarram
Yarram RSL’s service will commence at 10.45am at the Yarram Cenotaph in Commercial Road.
