THERE has been yet another serious accident on the Bass Highway (Inverloch Leongatha Road) at Leongatha South, at around 11.30am on Saturday, January 28.

Police, ambulance and CFA were on the scene of a two-car collision involving a VW Golf and SUV sedan where it appears as if one of the cars was attempting to turn right at the corner of the Bass Highway and Leongatha South-Outtrim Road/Rougheads Road, outside the old Leongatha South School.

CFA personnel and police have control of the scene but as late as 12.30pm, the collision scene was still be cleared by tow trucks.

Traffic is flowing but down to one lane.

A large amount of debris is strewn across the intersection.

Early reports are that there are no serious injuries.

Emergency volunteers said there had been another collision at the same location in the past week. There have been many over the years.
