Mirboo North Year 12 group farewells school

MIRBOO North Secondary College Year 12 students started their final day of school with a tasty egg and bacon roll breakfast, dressing up for the occasion.

That was followed by an assembly at which students presented awards to each other.

The group also put together a video that included photos of their years at Mirboo North Secondary College.

“We make it all about them,” Senior School Coordinator Rose Hill said of the final assembly,

The school captains spoke, thanking parents, teachers and other school staff, with many parents attending.

“It was really positive,” Ms Hill said.

Students entered the assembly in themed groups, with that inspiring their costume choices, each group having a different song.

“There was a group of Minions, boys dressed up as Western outlaws, characters from Shrek, and others representing the stars of the Hangover movies.

Old fashioned fun was had after assembly, in the form of a slip ‘n slide in perfect conditions, before lunch at the park.

“This cohort has been a lovely batch, close knit and supportive of one another,” Ms Hill said.

While those in the VCE Vocational Major have now finished their school commitments, those tackling VCE are studying for exams, the English exam taking place today, Tuesday October 27.
