School’s out for KSC Year 12 group

“SOME of you are ready to walk out that gate and get started, some are probably a bit nervous, and a fair few are just happy you won’t have to explain why you’re late anymore,” Korumburra Secondary College Year 12 students heard at the end of their school journey.

Korumburra Secondary College Year 12 students celebrate their final school bell, with VCE Vocational Major students heading into careers while those doing VCE prepare for exams.

“SOME of you are ready to walk out that gate and get started, some are probably a bit nervous, and a fair few are just happy you won’t have to explain why you’re late anymore,” Korumburra Secondary College Year 12 students heard at the end of their school journey.

Year 12 Coordinator Steven Scott expressed pride in the cohort, acknowledging the final year of school is demanding.

“There’s the work itself, but there’s also the pressure of everyone asking what you’re doing next,” he said.

Mr Scott advised those students who don’t yet have a clear plan not to panic and that if they start something that proves unsuitable, they can change direction.

“To those with exams still to come, we’re with you for that final stretch, and to all of you, whatever comes next, I hope you leave KSC knowing there are people here who care about you and want you to do well,” Mr Scott said.

Year 12 students delivered entertaining dance performances as they farewelled Korumburra Secondary College.

VCE and VCE Vocational Major students carried on the Year 12 tradition of finishing their school days by dancing for staff and younger students.

“The Year 12s came in their costumes and gifted us a performance to remember,” Senior School Coordinator Nicole Creaser said, adding that their routines were well rehearsed.

She enjoyed seeing the Year 12s sharing lollies and joy with younger students.
