WESTERNPORT Water’s corporate values of care, courage and commitment were demonstrated recently as part of Movember.
During a Movember Mo-ment morning tea on Tuesday, November 28, two staff members shaved their hair off, one had his hair dyed and other staff donned fake moustaches to support the fundraiser.
The morning tea was the culmination of a month’s worth of moustache growing and fundraising by 12 members of staff, which resulted in more than $6000 in funds raised.
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness and funding for men’s health projects around the world, including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer – the three biggest health issues facing men.
Healthier men equal a healthier world and Westernport Water is proud to champion the fun and the serious side of Movember.
