HALLOWEEN is set to come alive – and maybe even rise from the grave – at the State Coal Mine in Wonthaggi, where the town’s biggest Halloween display is promising thrills, chills and plenty of family fun.
These past weekends' visitors have stepped inside the restored railway carriage to discover a spooky world of mystery and adventure, where the grim reaper, a vampire and a witch stand side by side among eerie decorations.
The fright-filled festivities will culminate on Friday, October 31, with a Family Halloween Night from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, featuring trick-or-treating, face painting, popcorn, a sausage sizzle, and of course, the spooky train carriage, open between 5pm and 7pm for brave visitors.
Children, families and friends are all encouraged to dress up in their scariest costumes and join in the Halloween spirit at one of Wonthaggi’s most unique venues.
