Vehicle collides with bookshop in Murray Street

POLICE are investigating after a vehicle collided with Ramalama Book Exchange on Murray Street, Wonthaggi this evening around 4.15pm.

It’s unknown what caused the accident at this stage, but it’s not believed to be related to drugs or alcohol.

According to police, it’s believed the driver lost control of the vehicle whilst travelling east along Murray Street near the intersection with McBride Avenue. A passenger in the front seat was able to steer the vehicle off the road.

There were no life-threatening injuries to either the passenger or the driver, and it’s believed both dogs in the vehicle at the time were also uninjured.
