FARM WORLD 2023 at Lardner Park near Warragul has made a well-researched decision to concentrate the activity on three days this year instead of four, from Friday, March 24 to Sunday, March 26.
And while it’s still the biggest mixed-farm event in Victoria, and one of the largest in Australia, showcasing everything new in the world of harvest equipment and more for the dairy, beef, sheep, vegie and intensive farming sectors, they’ve thrown open the gates in a big way to all comers; farmers, families, everyone.
As well as the farm-focused agenda across the three days, there’ll be plenty of entertainment including the three Freestyle Motocross Spectacular shows at Lakeside Arena every day at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm and the separately-ticketed rodeo on Saturday night, March 25.
Other highlights include:
- Long-range weather forecast presentation by Channel 7 meteorologist Jane Bunn at 10.30am on Saturday, March 25
- CWA scones with jam and cream every day
- Scooter hire
- Telstra Women’s Lunch (sold out) on Friday, March 24 (11.30am-2.45pm) featuring Pip Courtney (Landline) and Katy Brown (farmer and Highland Pony breeder)
- Free kids’ tickets
- Sawmills and agroforestry demonstrations
- Renewable technologies zone
- Kid’s fishing competition
- Live drone demonstrations
- Multiple cooking and butchering demos
It’s big, it’s better and Farm World 2023 is a must for all Gippslanders.
Farm World is the first major farming event of the year, kicking off a $1 billion field days and show circuit for agricultural exhibitors, allowing them to showcase their newest and most innovative technologies for the first time, testing the market and consumer optimism for the year ahead.
With an action-packed program of demonstrations and presentations, displaying all the techno wizardry available for everyone from the most advanced farming operations to home-based produce ventures; it makes Farm World the key field days event of the year.
Farm World offers the ideal opportunity for orders to be placed and delivered in time for the next harvest season, and with farm equipment in particular in short supply, many growers and producers take the opportunity to do just that over the three days.
Every main distributor and manufacturer will be on exhibition at Farm World 2023 as the industry realises orders need to be taken earlier than previous seasons to keep up with the demand and be on time for next season deliveries.
Farm World will be the first main event on the national calendar of field days and it’s up to everybody in the industry to make sure everything gets off to a good start.
After a survey last year revealed strong support for the three-day format, the exhibitors responded in a rush to book their spaces for the revitalised event and they’ll be there from Friday, March 24 with their new product releases and services ready to get the year off to the best possible start for themselves and local producers.
The gates open early on Friday morning for exhibitors and those attending the Commonwealth Bank breakfast, but for the general public, Farm World is open daily from 9am to 4pm.
