ROAD CLOSED: Phillip Island Road San Remo. Motorcyclist dies following San Remo collision

POLICE are investigating a fatal collision in San Remo this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had collided with a motorcycle on Phillip Island Road about 6.20am.

CPR was performed, but the yet-to-be identified rider died at the scene.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was not injured.

Phillip Island Road remains closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
