FATHER and son, Peter and Charlie Moule, have been racing for over four years and recently competed at the 2025 GWM BMX Racing National Championship at the MacArthur BMX track in New South Wales.
Peter, competing in the 55-59 year-old category, secured an impressive seventh-place finish, showcasing that age is no barrier in competitive racing.
“I was focused on perfecting my start techniques,” said Peter.
“The first three motos were quite nerve-racking, and this decided whether I transferred into the final eight. Making the top eight at Nationals is what all BMX races strive for.
“My coach’s guidance paid off, and I was proud to finish in the top eight.”
Charlie, now in the 13-year-old boys 20-inch Cruiser category, made his mark by reaching 24th in the Cruiser class, 25th in the 20-inch class and 15th in the Pump Track Championships. With these results, Charlie showed promising talent in the sport.
“I’m improving my starts and fitness and learning from Australia’s top BMX talent,” said Charlie.
Both racers now have their sights set on future challenges, training together in Knox, with Peter and Charlie both eyeing the World Championship in Brisbane in 2026.
