Explore the local terrain with the Bass Coast Strollers

1 min read

HAVE you ever wanted company while out exploring the Bass Coast?

Bass Coast Strollers might be the answer.

As September is Bushwalking Victoria’s Try Bushwalking Month, it is the perfect time to link up.

This walking group covers eight to 10 kilometres each Monday morning at a different locality each week.

The feature walks in September are Eagles Nest, George Bass Trail and The Gurdies.

Generally, there aren’t too many hills – but there is warning when there are – and the trails and beaches vary the terrain.

The group regularly walks on Phillip Island and around Wonthaggi, and have regular visits to Grantville, Cape Paterson, Inverloch and numerous other places.

There are occasional trips further afield with some members heading to Lakes Entrance for a couple of nights before Christmas.

A backpack with some snacks and water, plus shoes with a good grip are the basic requirements for the morning.

You can come on three walks to try it out.
