Contract Weather Observer - Wonthaggi

The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a contract weather observer at Wonthaggi from Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Duties:
Observation times 6am and 9am Mon-Fri
• Record instrument readings
• Make qualitative observations of weather
• Data entry
• Care and maintenance of weather instruments

Once proficient, each observation should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

is a preferred requirement that the selected contractor will have someone as a backup.

Payment for this service is up to $6460 per annum.
