Federal Deputy Leader of the Opposition the Hon Sussan Ley MP with Mary Aldred, Federal Liberal Candidate for Monash discussing local issues on Phillip Island during a visit on January 28.

FEDERAL Liberal Candidate for Monash Mary Aldred and the Federal Deputy Leader of the Opposition the Hon Sussan Ley MP met with several Phillip Island residents and community groups about local priorities last Wednesday, January 29. 

This included meeting with Island Voice committee members Peter Paul and Peter McMahon to discuss the Phillip Island Rec Reserve proposal.

"Phillip Island has a growing population and we need put our best case forward to secure new sporting, recreation and community facilities based here on the Island," said Ms Aldred.

"As part of a strong Coalition team I am determined to fight for the funding and support Phillip Island needs to provide opportunities for local athletes, and sporting and recreation facilities that all local residents can access," she added.
