Fatal collision in Loch with roads closed until midday.

PARAMEDICS were called to an incident in Loch around 8am this morning after an accident at the intersection of South Gippsland Highway and Victoria Parade.

Senior Sergeant Brad Steer informed the Sentinel Times that the accident was a collision of two motor-vehicles; a Warragul gentleman in his 60’s has died on the scene and a Dumbalk woman in her 70s has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threating injuries.

The road will be closed until midday with police directing traffic coming from Korumburra to utilise South Road, and traffic coming from Melbourne to turn left onto Victoria Parade and head through to Poowong.

All emergency services were on the scene and Victoria Police are currently investigating.
