THERE is much talk and concern regarding Inverloch’s coastline.
I am over 90 years old, and I remember clearly when there was a jetty, people used to dive off that jetty.
That jetty was where there is now a car park, there was a stone wall all along the beach, we had fun walking along it.
We had school picnics each year at a shelter along towards Cape Paterson, well past the well-known “Pine Lodge” – this area is now all sanded up with much vegetation, water is a long way out.
I clearly remember older people slinging off when the clubhouse and bowling green were built, that those buildings would get washed away in years to come.
Surely there must be photos and records of those days somewhere. I know there are not many locals left like myself that can remember all this.
