Another passenger left stranded at Anderson Bus Exchange

1 min read

ASK Jackie Crompton what it felt like to be left stranded at the Anderson Bus Interchange and she will tell you the bus driver just didn’t care.

With an inch of water left in her water bottle and no shelter at the bus station 80 y/o Jackie had no way of getting home to Cowes and looked like being left stranded.

“It’s not my problem,” the bus driver told Jackie.

Not the first time passengers have been left at Anderson Interchange or Koo Wee Rup.

Jackie was recently forced take the bus to Wonthaggi and wait three hours before she could take the next South Coast Bus back to Cowes with a 20-minute walk home.

“If South Coast Bus Lines and V Line are both contracted with PTV why are they more than happy to leave passengers stranded?” asked Jackie.

“How many local citizens are being left stranded by the public transport companies?”

On another occasion Jackie took the Cranbourne bus to the Koo Wee Rup Interchange, but the Melbourne bus was running 25 minutes late.

By the time she eventually arrived at the Anderson Interchange the South Coast bus to Cowes had already departed and another bus wouldn’t arrive for two more hours.

Jackie ended up calling a $122 taxi to get her home to Cowes.

V-line said they had no jurisdiction over South Coast Bus Lines, and they couldn’t help.

‘Plan your journey’ V-line suggested.

“Bass Coast deserves better,” said Jackie.

Transport Victoria is yet to respond to Jackie’s concerns.
