LOOKING for ways to keep the kids busy these school holidays? Myli’s libraries across Bass Coast and South Gippsland have a big line-up of creative, educational and hands-on events, all completely free. From messy crafts to cosy Storytimes and fun new experiences, there’s something for every age and interest.
In the Bass Coast, Wonthaggi and Phillip Island libraries will welcome local author Yvonne Bornstein for a special Storytime and book launch. Wonthaggi will also be hosting a cosy movie session, cardboard bird-making, and the hands-on Air Clay Club. Phillip Island will be buzzing with Whale Festival celebrations and Mr T’s Mathematical Marvels. Inverloch’s program features poetry, science experiments and paper crafts, while the Waterline Library will offer a mix of activities including Planks, cardboard creations and DIY harmonicas.
Over in South Gippsland, Foster Library has Lego building, story stones and NAIDOC-themed workshops. Leongatha’s line-up includes movies, robots and rolling contraptions, while Mirboo North and Korumburra will be busy with crafty projects and other creative holiday events.
It’s a great way to get out of the house, explore your local library and make some memories along the way. Our school holiday events are friendly, inclusive and designed to be as engaging as they are fun. Best of all, they’re free! Tickets go live at 5pm on Monday, June 23 at myli.au/july25. We’d love to see you at the library these holidays!
