The CFA Command Communications vehicle is available for urgent welfare calls should residents of Mirboo North require.

Mirboo North

Relief Point: Mirboo North & District Community Foundation at 96 Ridgeway is open with facilities for people to access information, the internet (via Starlink) and charge devices. The Telstra SkyMuster Truck is also set up to provide internet access in Mirboo North.

The Australian Gas Networks hydrogen BBQ is at Mirboo North providing a free lunch to anyone on site.

CFA Command Communications: Those needing to make urgent welfare calls or need assistance logging damage can pop to the red command truck in the carpark behind the Mirboo North RSL on Burchell Lane, opposite the Mirboo North Fire Station.

Hot showers: A mini bus will be running to the Churchill Leisure Centre for hot showers (please bring towels and soap) departing tomorrow (Friday) at 9am and 2pm. The bus will leave from the Relief Point at the Mirboo North & District Community Foundation.

Korumburra

Korumburra Community Hub now has a generator and Milpara Community House is offering device charging (BYO charger), emergency food bank, boiled water and drinking water, tea coffee and heating of ready made meals.

Leongatha

The Salvation Army is providing free meals from 12.30pm today (Thursday February 15) at 2 Long Street.

Poowong

Poowong Country Fire Authority are preparing to open their meeting room to the affected community this afternoon and in the next several days.

They will have access to electricity so individuals can watch TV, charge devices, and enjoy a coffee. Opening times will be posted on their Facebook page.

South Gippsland Shire - Green Waste

A two week green waste amnesty is now in place for all South Gippslanders for the disposal of spoiled food and vegetation. The Mirboo North Transfer Station will be open daily, including weekends, from 9am to 4pm. Other waste stations will be open according to their regular operating hours.
