RSL Active kicks off at Bassine Cheeses
Bassine Cheeses hosted the Wonthaggi RSL Active group this January.

THE Wonthaggi RSL held their first RSL Active event for 2024 with a trip to Bassine Cheeses last week with President Dan Lucas sharing that it was a great turnout with over 17 people in attendance.

“It was a great morning, enjoyed by all,” said Dan.

The group sat down for a nice morning tea of scones and coffee, before taking a walk through the cheese factory – learning of the cheese making course that will now be an RSL active indoor event for the winter.

“Bassine Cheese need 12 people to run the cheese making course, so register your interest and keep an eye out for all the upcoming events over the next few months – with all updates on our Facebook page.”

What’s on for January:

Friday sippers each week from 4pm-7pm

January 18: Morning tea at the hall.

January 27: Military Market including sausage sizzle at the hall from 10am.

The next big RSL Active event will be a ‘target shoot competition’ run together with Phillip Island and Inverloch RSL Active, held at the Wonthaggi Gun Club in March.

So, get active and get involved in your local RSL Active group in 2024.
