EMERGENCY services have hailed “some great teamwork” on Thursday night, December 28 in the rescue of 65-year-old man from near the Bass Coast Rail Trail in Dalyston.
“At about 9.25pm, your local police from the Wonthaggi Police Station and the Bass Coast Highway Patrol were alerted that a person was trapped underneath an e-Bike, in a rural area,” said a police spokesperson.
“Police attended, as did volunteer rescuers from SES Wonthaggi Unit, volunteer firefighters from Kilcunda CFA, and paramedics from Ambulance Victoria.
“Using some specialist skills and equipment, the male was located, treated at the scene, and then carefully removed from the area.”
They said the man was taken to Bass Coast Health for treatment to minor injuries and for another pre-existing medical condition.
