What no. That can't be right? Ireland's Mary Coughlan at the Archies Creek Hotel - you better believe it. Tickets on sale now.

THERE’S a big program of live music coming up at the Archies Creek Hotel this week with one show completely sold out and another one well and truly on its way!

The weather forecast is looking good too, for a change, Friday 23°c, Saturday 25°c and Sunday 29°c,  so there are smiles all-round out at Archies Creek the good times revolve around the outdoor stage and out on the lawn.

Saturday arvo will be a fun celebration of food and music under the big gumtree at the back of the Archies Creek Pub.

Three stellar bands are all set to bring you a fabulous afternoon of live music.

Kicking it off will be Queenie and her band followed by the hot new kids on the block Sweet Talk. Then legends Tex Perkins & Matt Walker will wrap it all up with what no doubt will be another great performance.

There will be Southern style BBQ food on offer throughout the gig and of course the drinks will be flowing.

Doors open @ 1pm, live music kicks off at 2pm but if you haven't booked tix yet, better get crackin' as they are selling fast! Book here: Go to https://archiescreekhotel.com.au/ and follow the prompts.

Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks follow on Sunday, December 4 but it’s a sold out show and should be a sizzler now that the day’s great weather has been revealed.

The following weekend it’s Continental Robert Blues Party (almost sold out) On Friday night, December 9.

On Saturday, December 10, it’s Mark Seymour & The Undertow (sold out) and on Sunday, December 11, an Old Fashioned 'Christmas' With Henry Wagons.

And an Irish legend is coming to town

Meanwhile on the upcoming shows front, Archies Creek and Caravan Music Club have announced that Ireland's Mary Coughlan will be on stage at Archies on Saturday April 1. Tix on sale now! Book here: https://bit.ly/3ucVCSQ

Mary Coughlan is arguably the greatest female singer to have emerged from Ireland in recent times, the equivalent of Irish vocal royalty.

The word ‘legend’ is not one to be used lightly, but in this case it is entirely appropriate.

Dubbed as Ireland’s Billie Holiday, Mary is a jazz and blues singer whose life story gives weight to the truth that the best singers are the ones with the most painful lives (The Guardian).

Whether you’re into folk, blues or jazz, no one can fail to be moved by the emotional depth, expression and power in her voice, forged from an extraordinary life.

One thing is for sure, you will be taken on a journey of devastatingly beautiful, wide-ranging and engaging songs, from a woman who has battled her demons and won, transforming them into art, an enduring testament to Mary Coughlan’s seemingly timeless and endless brilliance.

Needless to say, it’s not one to be missed.
