Well, just finished reading the Sentinel-Times for this week (February 15 edition) and the stupidity just seems to get better every week.

1. New walking path to create 31 jobs and generate $14.54 million in economic benefit; what can I say! I am sure money could be better put to footpaths, kerbing and drainage in some of the streets around Wonthaggi that are over 100 years old, where people actually walk after all; that’s what councils are for, the three Rs: roads, rubbish and rates.

2. Road sensors, was only a month ago the CEO stated there was no problem with parking in the town centre.

3. Then I read the money our elected council received for two months, a total of $361,351.71; no wonder rates are so high and very little return.
Highly paid workers making some very poor decisions.

Lyall Broughton, Wonthaggi.
